The Institution of Civil Engineers are pleased to tell you that their CityZen Award is back for 2023.
The students who took part in 2022 loved the ICE CityZen experience. In their feedback they told ICE about the new skills they developed, as well as in many cases, a new interest in engineering careers. We hope you’ll join them this year to open the door for more 16-18 year old students to benefit from taking part.
The ICE CityZen competition is an easy to run, structured activity which is supported throughout by an ICE engineer STEM Ambassador. It takes place yearly in the autumn term and makes an ideal extra-curricular or STEM club activity.
Taking part in CityZen gives students:
- Skills for success: teamworking, critical thinking, communication and problem-solving
- Insight into a respected, exciting and globally growing career option
- More insights into STEM subjects, including Geography and Design Technology
- A certificate of participation, plus great prizes including £2,000 for the top team (shared between school and pupils)
