Primary Engineer, since 2005, have created an engineering curriculum that spans Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education institutions. Its core aims include; the development of children and young people through engagement with engineering, the promotion of engineering careers for pupils through inspiring programmes and competitions, the development of engineering skills for teachers and practitioners as a sustainable model and working to address the gender imbalance in science and engineering.

STATWARS flyer – this shares the two different offers of the Climate Change Challenge and Film & TV and the competition is aimed at KS2 and KS3 pupils. Within the new maths curriculum there is a slot in the summer term learning where this fits in perfectly for year 9s.

Leaders award presentation – this gives some more detail on the If You Were An Engineer competition, what is involved and all the support available. As an addition – a design from a 15 year old pupil in Burnley which was developed into a prototype by UCLAN has just won one of the gold medals in the MacRobert Medal!
