Launched by the social mobility charity upReach, Aspire is a collection of free careers, university and further education resources designed to give students the tools and knowledge they need to make more informed decisions about their future, with free resources including:
- The Aspire Guide – a 64-page guide providing in-depth information on different career pathways, university options, apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, student finance, gap years and more.
- The Aspire Webinar Series – Since launching in September 2021, our free-to-attend Aspire Webinars have had 2500+ registrations from 600+ schools, with 99% saying they would recommend these sessions to another student.
- Teacher Toolkit – a resource pack containing everything teachers/careers advisors need to deliver an effective and engaging session about university and careers, including ready-to-use scripts and assembly presentations
- Newsletter – a quarterly email newsletter highlighting current careers and social mobility news, updates and hot topics across the education sector.
Aimed at post-16 students, these resources provide detailed information about a wide range of career options that students from lower-socio-economic backgrounds may have limited exposure to through existing networks.
“The Aspire Guide is invaluable – it breaks down all the options available to students as they come to the end of their compulsory education. It’s well written and our students find it very accessible.”
Ned Browne, Senior Teacher
