Uptree was born out of an urgent need to enable students to gain exposure to potential employers. Having worked as a teacher in a low income community, the CEO Tamsin was hugely disheartened by how many students would walk away with top exam grades but end up in under-skilled jobs. Uptree was founded to level the playing field where every young person has access and opportunity to progress their career based on their talent and potential (not their connection or background).
Uptree offers online and in person work experience days for sixth form and college students, supporting them to understand the link between their curriculum learning and careers. Uptree also provides online learning suitable for KS3-5 supporting students to learn more about the world of work and hone their employability skills, including interview practice and understanding apprenticeships.

“The opportunities you are able to source from blue-chip companies for our students are absolutely brilliant, these events are so important in helping our students to decide their pathways post 18 and what qualifications and degrees they need to realise their ambitions. During the past two years of uncertainty, and a major lack of work experience for our students, Uptree have been, and are, stalwarts in helping students reach their goals. Thank you for your continued support”
