The 12 hour employability support programme for SEND students is aimed at secondary schools who cater for pupils with special educational needs and learning difficulties. An ideal number of students at any one time on this programme would be a maximum of 15. DWP deliver to small class sizes and are able to tailor the programme and deliver a more meaningful experience together with a personable style of delivery which creates a relaxed learning atmosphere.
DWP usually run the programme over an educational term (4 months) to work with the further educational pupils to develop their employability skills and qualities. During that period, they attend once a month for a 3-hour period (a.m. or p.m.) and engage the pupils with relevant and stimulating activities. This includes a ‘Meet and Greet’ session to get to know Della and David who deliver the programme (approx. 1hr prior to session 1). A Risk Assessment will also need to be carried out prior to face to face delivery by DWP Health and Safety representative. Please follow the links below for more information
